Geriatrics Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Eosinophil count of 2800 is indeed high and needs to be evaluated.
Tests needed for evaluation are:
1. Allergen test
2. Stool test for ova and cysts of parasites
3. IgE levels

Based on these, you can meet a specific specialist like MD Medicine, or Allergic specialist.

Yes, it could be dangerous, as it can induce anaphylaxis if its a allergic reaction.
Meet your doctor for tests and reference.

Any further queries, happy to help again.
