I have a piece of tonsil that is hanging. My throat does not hurt; however, the hanging tonsil feels as though I have not chewed my food completely. I went to an ENT on August 25, 2014, for my routine ear cleaning. He looked in my mouth, and apparently, he did not notice anything unusual. I did not feel anything until today, August 26, 2014. Should I return to the ENT or to my primary physician? How common is this occurrence? I do not want to cause any disturbance to the tonsil. Is there a possibility of it becoming unattached and my swallowing it?
Hi , You seem to be having Chronic tonsillitis or Chronic tonsillar hypertrophy . I suggest you see a ENT specialist .You don't have to worry the tonsil getting detached
