Hi Doctor,
i was installing tiles by taking support from my knees and toes .i worked for almost 9hrs and on next day i found my toes were hurting very much and then i found there is different colour of skin under my foot thumb nail and now it is very hurting, could you please tell me the solution. Thanks

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

I would keep a possibility of subungual hematoma due to prolonged stress/pressure.

Subungual hematomas typically heal without an incident. Sometimes the nail plate may separate from the nail bed but eventually the nail plate will gradually grow out and be replaced by new, normal-appearing nail plate in several months time.

Epsom salt soaks can be used to get soothing comfort OR you can also take an OTC pain killer like ibuprofen once or twice daily for a few days.
