How To Cure Imbalance While Suffering From Disc Degeneration?

I have been prescribed vertin 16mg thrice a day for one week on account of imbalance. MRI brain & spine shows no cervical problem, however, L3, L4, L5, L6 shows degeneration. My doctor has also advised physiotheraphy which is going on. It is a week now. However. even now when I get up from sleeping position I feel imbalance. I also fear that I may fall. I have mild polio malitis in my left leg too. Please advise me how long will I have to take vertin and will there be permanent cure?
