How To Cure Injuries Caused In Genital Area During Physical Activities?

I am an elementary school staff member who carries out first aid regularly along with 4 other staff members. We would like to know what is the recommended protocol for dealing with male students who are hit in the genital area during sports or physical activities? We, for obvious reasons, do not do a physical examination but need to know the proper questions to ask the child and could be suggested for comfort purposes. We do always notify the parent/guardian of this particular injury if the student appears okay in case of any changes later on in the day. We also do this for any head/face injuries as well. Thanks
