How To Cure Itchiness In Scalp?

Hi Doctor. I am 41 yrs old. weigh 140 lbs. Just had my second & last baby 3 months ago. I recently started having a very itchy scalp. I cannot scratch enough. I have sores in my scalp from scratching so bad. Ive tried pert dandruff & im using selsin blue medicated. That even burns im assuming from the open sores. What is causing this? Im thinking hormones. Ive never had this in my life. It seems to be the middle of my ghead in the back.

As per your complain itchiness in scalp along with sores can occur due to causes like fungal infection, hair follicle infection or Folliculitis, Impetigo, contact dermatitis, side effects of any medications or allergics to certain shampoos or hair cosmetics..
I would suggest you to consult a Trichologist and get evaluated and he can advise you treatments depending upon the exact cause of the problem..
In case of fungal infection antifungal shampoos along with steroid lotion massage can relieve..
In case of Folliculitis or Impetigo, antibiotic ointments and oral antibiotics can be advised..
Anti allergics like Levocetrizine and steroid lotions along with avoiding the irritant use can relieve allergies..
s of now you can take anti allergics like Levocetrizine or Benadryl to relieve itching..
