How To Cure Lump In Throat With Swallowing Difficulty Along With Hot And Cold Flushes And Sore Muscles?

2 days ago i started to feel a lump in my throat and had difficulty swallowing, i was also burping a lot, and i still am (just short micro burps less than a second long) i am a smoker and inhaling smoke was causing irritation so i stopped.
A few hours later i started to feel hot and cold flushes, and my whole body ached, all my muscles were sore.
Before i went to bed i coughed and suddenly threw up in my mouth, although when i spat it out it didn't smell, and was very transparent.
1 day ago most symptoms disappeared, but i could feel the lump in my throat, also my hearing felt a bit dull.
now today i woke up and my right ear was very sore, i can feel that my inner ear is swollen and using a mirror i can see its red. i blew my nose and congealed mucus came out as well.
i haven't been particularly photosensitive, and for the most part I've been indoors. although i have a suspicion that being so close to new years, i've probably come into contact with someone who was sick. just wondering if i need to go see a doctor, or if things will sort themselves out in a week or so.

Hi. From a good detailed history you have provided, it looks you are suffering from an infection in the throat which has traversed to the ear. You need to see a Doctor preferably an ENT Specialist. This is because the infection has to be treated to the point of cure otherwise this may become a matter of repeated problem and you may go into chronic infection of the ear, which will be difficult to treat.I hope this answer has helped you in a correct direction.
