How To Cure Pain And Burning Sensation In Knee Due To A Injury?

I fell while running about a month ago on my knee and it slowly improved but sensitive to the thouch. I ran a 5K a week ago and now have had a burning sensation (almost like a rug burn) on the inside of my knee. It is on the kneecap on the internal side and is painful to the touch. Although it feels somewhat better today, I started having chills and slight body aches. Could they be related?
