Hi,

I can understand your concern for the cuts on foreskin.

Cuts on foreskin is most commonly due to raised blood sugar. You check for the same. For the interim of help you can follow the suggestions below:

- Wash your penile area for two times in a day with plane water. Wash it very gently but properly. It is quite important to retract your skin fully backwards and then wash the area.

- Wear cotton undergarments. Change these two times a day. Do not wear any synthetic or tight garments.

- If you are sexually active then avoid intercourse for few days.

- Do not use any strong soap or detergents over skin. Wear cotton clothes and avoid synthetic or woolen garments in direct contact of skin.

Take care.

Hi painful cuts on the foreskin is due to balanitis.it is mainly caused if the partner is suffering from leukorrhea or if u are a diabetic.it is usually a mixture of bacterial and fungal infection.sometimes it leeds to phimosis.
It can be cured by antibiotic twice daily .flucanazole weekly once and application of fudic cream twice daily .if it is recurrent go for circumcission

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM.

Seems you are suffering from Candidal Posthitis.

I usually ask my patients to undergo a blood test for sugar, specially if it is recurrent.

Treatment is simple:

I ask my patients to apply a topical antifungal cream like clotrimazole for 7 days. If required i ask my patients to take an oral antifungal like fluconazole single dose.

It is preferable to get a blood sugar test for recurrent posthitis.

Sexual partner should also be treated if symptomatic.

Sexual contact is to be avoided for a week.

take care
regards
