How To Cure Painful Lump On The Hip After Falling Down?

I fell hard on a patch of ice yesterday PM. I landed directly on my right hip. Shortly afterwards a large softball sized bump appeared on my hip. There is only a small bit of discolouration but it is quite painful. I am able to walk. What should I do?
