Pulmonologist 's  Response
Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your son's situation and problem.
Pneumonia if uncontrolled can lead to mucopurulent sputum and fall in oxygen level.
The best treatment for pneumonia is to identify the causative organism and then start effective antibiotic against it.
So get done sputum culture and sensitivity report.
Culture will isolate the causative organism and sensitive will tell you about the antibiotics effective against that particular organism.
By these, we can achieve fasten recovery and prevent haphazard use of antibiotics.
So consult pulmonologist and discuss all these.
