How To Cure Rashes Around Lips?

i recently got a rash around my lips, and it just cleared up. my doctor called it irritant contact dermatitis which was caused by licking my lips alot, and now after a day of being clear, all of a sudden my lips are red and swollen all along the edges and it burns and itches, what do i do?

Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
Lip lick dermatitis could recur if you do not stop the habit of licking your lips.
You could use a mild steroid containing cream ( like hydrocortisone) twice a day for 5-7 days.
Apply a bland emollient like petroleum jelly repeatedly through out the day to prevent lips from becoming dry.
Keep taking sips of water whenever you get the tendency to lick the lips.
Strictly avoid licking your lips.
