How To Cure Shoulder Pain ?

i have been off work since may with shoulder pain i have had scan but my next appointment is not until may next year . i have been in pain everyday esp at night i cannot move my arm out to the side or behind my back or fully raise it . if i shut the car door i get severe pain up my arm and i jumped down a step and the pain in my arm was immense i have problems getting dressed sp why the long wait it is so frustrating being in daily pain as i am an active 49yr old female
