How To Cure Viral Gastroenteritis?

last week i had constant nausea, dull headache, some irregular bowel movements. Diagnosed as GI viral illness. prescribed zofran. I am feeling better, except now m,y entire stomach is disstended, sharp cramping at times, but there is a constant ache. bowel frequency, but not loose. This stomach pain is a new onset as of yesterday.

For viral gastroenteritis symptomatic management is done.

1) Along with Ondansetron also take antacid drug like Rabeprazole.

2) Avoid gastric irritants like excess spicy foods, smoking and stress.
3) Drink lots of water


4) Increase intake of fruit juice



Hope this helps. If no improvement, stool examination and USG abdomen need to be done.
