How To Deal With A Patient Reluctant To Initiate Treatment?

My husband is type 1 diabetic but he has refused to have injections for well over a year and he won't seek help and is no longer on a doctors list due to skipping appointments for blood tests etc. I don't know what to do as I'm worried sick he will become ill and die.

yes it is definitely a point for concern .type 1diabetics need insulin rather early can get into serious medical issues if not treated adequately .you could try counselling with a diabetes educator .also a good diet and exercise regimen will help him keep his doses low
