How To Deal With My Pilonidal Cyst During My Pregnancy Period?

I m 17 weeks pregnant and having some trouble with my pilonidal cyst. It is NOT raised or pimple/boiled, just hurts. I took tylonal, but was wondering if ice or heating pad would be advised. I do not want it to come to a head and get worse. Thank you

Hi,
If the pilonidal cyst is painful, it means there is some mild infection. Warm sitz baths would help to some extent, but, you should get a clinical examination by an expert to decide whether it need surgical intervention. If needed, it can be done at this stage under local anesthesia before it gets deeply infected. Also, you are at a stage in pregnancy when it is safe to perform surgical procedures. Ice pack or heating pad may not help. Hope your query has been clarified. Take care.
