How To Determine DVT(deep Vein Thrombosis)?

Hi, I am a 24 year old female. I have no health problems except that I am a bit overweight. I went on a 8 hour flight 3 days ago. starting this morning, I have a dull pain deep in my left thigh. It is not very painful but I am constantly aware of it. It is always in the same spot. there is no redness or heat. but my body is swelled (like it always is after a long flight). I am afraid that I have DVT. How do I know? how does the pain usually feel if there is a clot? thank you!

Non-specific signs of DVT include pain, swelling, redness, warmness, and engorged superficial veins. Pulmonary embolism is a potentially life-threatening complication, caused by the detachment of a blood clot that travels to the lungs.
DVT in the legs is proximal(thigh) when above the knee and distal (calf) when below the knee.
D-dimer has negative predictive value means if it has normal value it excludes DVT,but if raised it may be due to DVT or other conditions,in which case whole-leg ultrasound with doppler will find out the deep vein thrombosis.however ,contrast venography is gold standard for diagnosis of DVT.Thank you
