Hi & Welcome.
I can understand your concern, but there is nothing to worry about it.
1. To ensure fertilization of the egg and thus conception, a normal
sperm count should 20 million or more/ml and should have at least 30% of the sperm showing progressive movement in a forward direction.
As men get older, the chances of conceiving and having a healthy child decline. Men's
fertility gradually declines from around the age of 40, but most men are able to father children into their 50s and beyond.
Age is the most important factor affecting a woman's chance to conceive and have a healthy child. As women age their fertility declines.
It is said that 19 to 26-year-olds have a 50 per cent chance of conceiving two days before ovulation - a woman's most fertile time. That drops to 40 per cent for those aged 27 to 34. After 35, the women studied had only a 30 per cent chance of falling pregnant in any given month.and by the time she reaches
menopause, most of her eggs are gone.
2.
Pregnancy is technically only possible during the five days before ovulation through to the day of ovulation. These 6 days are the ‘fertile window’ in a woman’s cycle, and reflect the lifespan of sperms (5 days) and the lifespan of the ovum (24 hours).
Ovulation occurs when a mature egg is released from the ovary, moves down the
fallopian tube, and is available in the fallopian tube to be fertilised.
Day one is the first day of the menstrual period and the last day is the day before the next period begins.
Ovulation occurs about two weeks (14 days) before the next expected period. Depending on her cycle length the most fertile days in the cycle varies:
So if her menstrual cycle is 30 days, she is likely to ovulate around day 16 and the most fertile days would be days 14, 15 and 16.
If her cycle is of 35 days, she is likely to ovulate on day 21 and the most fertile days are days 19, 20, and 21.
Hope to have answered your query.
Wishing you good luck.
