How to detox?
Hi, I'm running in to the problem of finding too much and conflicting info online about nutrition and detoxes. My mother has always had stomach problems- IBS, leaky gut, etc, which got even worse after she had her thyroid removed. She detoxed and changed her diet for years and now has things under control. I have just turned 25 and am experiencing stomach issues too. (But I had tests done and show no thyroid issues) I have regular, indigestion, loose stool, and reactive hypoglycemia. Sometimes if I don't eat for a few hours or if I only eat carbs, I faint. Sometimes I wake up needing food immediately. I was thinking of doing a detox to help my stomach, then following a healthy more regulated diet. I tried eating very healthy for a month (whole grains, meat, fruits, veggies, yogurt, no packaged snacks)with no change, but I've heard that without a detox, diet changes aren't effective. I've also heard I need to cut gluten and dairy - but I have also read that gluten is protein and yogurt bacteria good for the stomach. What do I need to do to detox and heal my stomach? I also have persistent acne, which is always deep under the skin and nothing topical works. Perhaps a diet change could also help this?
