How To Diagnose A Curvature And Bugling In The Spine Of An Infant?

Hello. When my 17 month old daughter sits down leans forward. There is a protrusion in the lower thoracic radiating lumbar spine. The protrusion also extends to the bilateral flank area of the back. So it s not just the spinal column. Also it looks to be a curvature of the spine when bulging. But while she s standing upright, her spine is straight. She doesn t complain of back pain, and doesn t appear to be spina bifida. But this convexity in the spine is very Worriesome, especially at this age.

Hello

As you explain the situation I strongly recommend you to see a pediatrician neurologist and probably he will order a MRI for your child
Please don't hesitate talk with his doctor
