How To Diagnose A Painless Lump At The Lower Back?

hi my wife noticed a ganglion type of lump towards the bottom of my back. its painless though, and who knows how long its been there. went to see a walk in clinic and doctor prescribed me some apo-cephalex and some cream to apply three dimes daily. she said it may be an infected cyst. my first worry of course is cancer, i am a bit of a hypochondriac. any thoughts?

Hi,

If she hasn't even noticed it in so much time it is most likely not cancer. So relax and continue the prescribed treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshita, Ophthalmologist
