How To Diagnose A Torn Rotaror Cuff?

I suspect I have had a torn rotator for quite some time now. We re talking years but I m finally considering persuing getting it checked out and repaired. Will an MRI reveal exactly how old the injury is if I were to say it recently happened vs saying it has bothered me for a long period of time?

Hello,

Tear in rotator cuff can be diagnosed by MRI. I suggest you to consult your orthopedician for clinical assessment and prescription of MRI.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri
