How To Diagnose Thyroid Nodules?

I have seen several doctors regarding my thyroid and they all say it should come out. How do I know? It is working ok. Short of bioposy is there a way to tell if the thyroid is cancerous? I have heard about Fine Needle Aspiration. Not sure if it is something I need to look into more or not. Apparently I have about 8 nodules on my thyroid.

Hello dear
I understand your concern
You can diagnose the throid nodule by
Visual proof: by USG scan
Scan with 123I help to find the hot nodule. Most of hot nodule is benign and associated with low TSH.
Blood test like TSH, T4 and T3 is use to know the status of the thyroid status.
And last USG guided fine needle aspiration cytology use to differentiate the benign and malignant nodule.
Hope this may help you
