How To Differentiate Between DMDD And Autism?

My husband & myself have done research on DMDD, a new diagnoses our son was given 2 weeks ago. Neither of us think he meets any of the criteria. He meets a lot of the HFA/aspergers/autism spectrum symptoms & has his whole life. We see the psychiatrist again tomorrow. Should I tell her all of this?
