How To Eliminate The Inhaled Ammonia Fumes From The Lungs?
hi! here is my problem I was spring cleaning my house last weekend. I used ammonia to spray down everything which I don t usually use. I definitely inhaled way too many ammonia fumes. But, now my lungs are behaving like I have bronchitis except any activity is clear. No yellow green or black tint. I ve been drinking honey water like a crazy person. do you know of any way to clear my lungs out without taking an antibiotic? Thank you!
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of inhaled ammonia fumes from the lungs because of ammonia poisoning. Mixing of ammonia is highly injurious as this causes the release of toxic chlorine gas, which can be deadly. Need not to worry. I would suggest you not to take milk or water as this will make difficulty in swallowing. If the chemical is on the skin or in the eyes, flush with lots of water for at least 15 minutes. Visit physician immediately to seek medical help as sometimes these poisoning symptoms could be severe. Administration of humidified oxygen and bronchodilators and airway management is the only antidote for ammonia poisoning.
Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
