hello doc, i am 29 yr old woman. i am pregnant about 7wk 6days. my lmp was on 8th nov.2011. on 30th dec. i had an vaginal ultrasound but found only gsac measuring 2.17 cm and no fetal pole yolk sac and heartbeat. i am found with cytomegalovirus antibodies (IgG 1.12# IgM 1.01#) and harpes simplex virus antibodies (IgG 1.27# IgM 1.21#). am i miscarrying? in dec.2010,in the 4th wk of pregnancy i had my first miscrriage,probably due to the genetical abnormality caused by rubella virus. this time i am very scared and dont want to lose my baby. can anything be done at this stage to prevent miscarriage and have a healthy baby? plz help.

there is genetic scan which is done at 13 week and 20 weeks. genetic scan exactly can tell you if any damage to fetus. wait till that time. you can be sure about it by genetic scan by fetal medicine expert. nothing can be done at this stage to prevent miscarriage.
