Hello dear, I understand your concern.Usually the termination of pregnancy can be done by medical or surgical methods depending on the age of pregnancy. One of the surgical methods is D&C.Failure might be seen with medical methods but surgical methods ensures complete abortion. Failure is very rare with surgical methods. In order to confirm ultrasound can be done. So nothing to worry regarding the D&C.It is a simple ,short and is mostly successful. So you can go with it if needed.
