How To Fix Up Bleeding Due To Tear And Soreness In Vagina After Sexual Intercourse?

hello i have had sexual intercourse and I think there has been a tear in my vagina. I can't tell if this is actually my period (I have very irregular periods) or if its actual bleeding from the tear. the bleeding has not stopped, i have had to wear a pad to collect the blood because it has been that much. I tried to check where the source of the blood is coming from but from what i can see at least on the outside, i do not see any visible tears. I do feel a slight sting and very subtle soreness but now i am in panic because the bleeding still has not stopped. I was told that i should just wait it out but others tell me to go get medical check up. What kind of medical check up should I get in order to fix this and how do I fix this?
