How To Get Piece Of Herb Stuck In Gums?

Hi, I noticed a piece of herb stuck inside my lower gums after lunch today. I tried to push it out using an upward movement with my toothbrush and also tried to push it out with my fingers. But it is still not coming out. It is visible that something is stuck due to a much darker coloring of that area of the gums. Do I need to visit a dentist or will it dissolve on it own? Thank you.

Thanks for using Health Care Magic.

Read your query.

If I were your treating dentist ,I would advice you to gently floss the area where the herb is stuck as sometimes the tooth brush will be inaccessible to clean interdentally.

If still you are not able to remove it ,visit your local dentist and he will be able to do it. If it is not removed ,it can lead to infection.

Hope this was helpful.
Thanks and regards.

Hello,
Please try to use floss to gently go between and under the gum. You should be able to slide it out. Imterdental cleaners shaped like a small wedge can also gently be used to go between the gum area. Vigorous rinsing should follow to wash away any debris. You may use your favorite rinse product, warm salt water or a peroxide dental rinse such as Peroxyl that has a foaming action. You may feel slight discomfort if you irritated the tissue, but this should resolve quickly in a day or two. Monitor for signs of inflammation such as redness, swelling and pain. See your dentist to evaluate signs of inflammation and prevent a periodontal infection if necessary. You do not want foreign material to stay under the tissue.
Thank you for your inquiry. I hope my suggestions are useful and you feel better soon.

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The piece of herb between the teeth can be removed with the help of the dental floss, you can try to remove with the help of floss or interdental brushes. Do not put tooth pick or any metal objects. If you are not able to remove it, you can consult a oral physician and get it removed. It will not get dissolved by its own.
I hope my answer will help you, take care.
