How To Get Rid From Wrist And Forearm Pain?

I have really bad wrist and forearm pain. Ever since I was carrying heavy groceries home about a month ago, the bag slipped down to my wrist for only about a couple secnods and ever since then certain things I do really irrate my wrist. It shoots up my arm and settle in my wrist with slow and painful pulses! :( Help?
