Hello, I have this pain in my neck when I swallow. Its close to the back of my tongue, and now every time I swallow it feels like I am swallowing mucus. I started getting this pain a day after I ate a bag of hot chips that I usually eat once in a while and really never get pains at all. I have tried gargling salt water as well. What is this? And how do I cure it? If it goes away by its self, how long does that take? I am a Male, Age 17
Hi,thanks for query. There is a possibility of some ulcer over base of your tongue or throat. When there friction between food and ulcer there is pain. This can happen because of injury to membrane of throat due to some spices or food color used in chips.Take vitamin b complex and folic acid supplements, avoid spicy and hard food.In couple of days this should go.bye.
