Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I have a big lump which is extremely painful just below my spine to the inside of my buttock crack not on or near the anus but above it. It doesn t have a head but its very painful ive had it for 3/4 days now. Could this be a boil? If so how do I get rid of it Thankyou
Hello, I had gone through your query and understand your concern.
Short answer: It seems to be a boil, better to consult a doctor
Detailed answer: Thank you for asking. Based on description it is suggestive that you may be having an inflammatory swelling which is usually painful. It may be due to an infection. If there is any pus collection it needs to be drained. You also need to take some antibiotics to control the infection. I suggest you to consult a general surgeon who can examine and suggest further treatment.
If you have any other queries I'll be happy to help.
Regards, Dr.Prathap Kumar
