Hi Doctor , I was put on Acutret 20 mg per day for 20 days, I started getting more acne and I went to another dermatologist and explained everything. He has prescribed me D acne - morning and evening, Benzac AC - at night for half an hour, Acutret 20 - tue, thu, sat (1 capsule after dinner). I just read the crazy long term side effects of Accutane , Acutret and all that. I am almost in tears now cos I really don t wanna lose my eye sight or suffer back pain and joints ache for years. I am 26 now and I never had acne problem or suffered any eye sight issues till date. I have worked in BPO for 7 and half years in night shift. I quit 3 months ago and since then I am getting acne. I used depiwhite and retino AC as per my first dermatologist and it ruined my face even more. And I am also scared about fertility issues this drug may cause cos I am still not married. I always had flat tummy but now its slightly bloating up. Is it because of Acutret? Did I make a mistake by taking this drug for 20 days and should I take it for next few days? I really don t know. Two doctors have suggested the same drug. And most importantly none of the two did any blood test or liver test before prescribing Acutret. They did tell me about not to get married or get pregnant for 6 months. But they never told me that I would lose my eye sight or liver damage. I wanna badly get rid of acne and aging lines, dullness on the face and dark spots, get back my old wheatish complexion (I have turned darker now) Please help!!!!! I genuinely need help. I have 30 capsules in my hand right now to be consumed 3 capsules a week for next 10 weeks. I have next appointment with doctor after 6 weeks.
