How To Get Rid Of Callus Inside The Thumb?

i have a growth like a callus on the inside bend of my thumb. It started off as a splinter and tried to get it out with tweezers teeth etc now its more like a callus i put neosporin on it last night and a bandai but when i woke up this morning imy thumb is swollen and it hurts to move it. what shouldi do?
