How To Get Rid Of Cystic Ache?

Long story short, I tried accutane for 25 days and I just couldn t do it. The side effects were too much for me, and the dermatologists wanted me to go on it for 7 months!! I m 20 years old and have severe/cystic acne. I first got teenage acne when I was 13. I ve tried many, many products and treatments over the years. If accutane was too strong for me to take, is there any hope left?? :/

Hi..

As you said you are having acne...There may be different forms of acne..like white comedones, black comedones, inflammatory acne, conglobet and cystic acne. You are more concerned with cystic acne. Acne is a multifactorial disease. There may be some cause. Stress, anxiety, oily food, dandruff, sleeplessness, hormonal imbalance, drugs like pills, steroid ..etc may cause or exacerbate the disease. Oral drugs along with topical applications might improve the lesions. You consult dermatologist.

You may follow treatment as below under dermatologist.
- to avoid all suspected factors which stimulate or exacerbate the lesions
- tab azithromycine 500 mg thrice a week 24 hourly consecutively for few months
- tab isotretinoin 5 mg daily at night..it is a low dose, that would not harm you.
- clindamycine gel to apply at night on lesions only
-cleanse the face with antiseptic face wash
- intralesional inj triamcenolone 10 mg may be taken from expert dermatologist at interval of one month would be very helpful.
And other problem you have is freckles.Freckles are small flat brown marks arising on the face and other sun exposed areas. They are most often seen in fair skinned people, especially those with red hair, but they are an inherited characteristic that sometimes affects darker skin types as well.As the person ages, freckle generally become less noticeable. Apart from sun protection, no particular treatment is necessary.

Have patience as the good result may be there after few months. And relapse may be prevented.I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
