HI There, my 5 year old son has had both ear drums perforated about 4months ago & the doctor said it was from blowing his nose too hard??? Now again he has another ear infection, he is on antibiotics but the doctors are always telling me they can't see in his ear due to alot of wax being in the ear. I am using waxsol but this has not worked to soften the wax, can this solution damage his ears. i am really concerned about his ears, could there be permeant damage?
Hi , I have read your query . Your son need to use waxsol for 5 days only & then removal of wax under microscope if he allow. If he donot allow remove wax under anesthesia. Bilateral ear perforation in 5 yrs , most likely due repeated upper respiratory tract infection. Hope this information helpful to you, take care and have a nice day. Regards - Dr KK ( Karade )
