Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I know I have thyroid issues and have been treated for 24 of my 49 years. I can never get rid of this extreme fatigue. I have it more often as I get older. I eat a lot of fresh veggies, fish, chicken and eggs. I lay off bread and processed foods most of the time. I sleep really well at night. I get between 7 to 9 hrs of sleep. Why am I so tired?
I am guessing you have an under-active thyroid gland (hypothyroidism), which has lethargy and exhuastion as symptoms. Your thyroid enzyme levels must not be within their normal range despite the medications. Please speak to your doctor about a revision.
Best wishes.
