How To Get Rid Of Keloid?

i have some keloids that I had for 6 years, and I cannot afford to get them removed by a doctor, can you recomend something I can do myself to get rid of them Good evening Doc, I have a question, I have Keloids on both of my ears and they are very large, I cannot afford a cosmatic doc, so I want to know if I can remove them my self?

Hello,

I understand your concern for the Keloids on your skin.

Let me guide you first that keloids are never to be removed or excised as these grow back even in larger size if these are surgically removed.

SO do not at all try to get these removed by any surgery.

Now for the part of its proper treatment : It requires a simple intralesional injection of steroid which flattens the keoid area in repeated sitting. For the same you can meet a dermatologist.

I generally prefer to give the injection once in 21 days for around 2-3 times to get adequate results. I also suggest my patients to apply a steroid based cram for getting desired result of flattening of the area at the earliest.
