I have a tender lump in/under my eyebrow it came out of nowhere but it feels like its getting bigger and moving onto my forehead it cant be a spot however i do suffer from boils but usually they start out like a spot /: any suggestions as how to make it go away its very painful. Thank you.
Hi ! Good evening. I am Dr Shareef answering your query.
Even though it might not be right to diagnose the lesion without a personal physical examination, I feel that possibly it could be a boil with cellulitis around which has spread to the scalp. If I were your doctor, I would after a clinical examination might have advised you for a broad spectrum antibiotic along with an anti inflammatory and a proton pump inhibitor. If an abscess forms inspite of this, then you might have to undergo a minor surgery like incision and drainage and the problem would be solved.
I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts.
Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems. I wish you an early recovery. Dr Shareef.
