Hi
Lumps on the site you have described are most often related to lymph nodes, it could probably be lymph node enlargement secondary to infection in the oral cavity or ear or throat. Do consult a doctor for a course of antibiotics. If it subsides, well and good. However if it persists, go for Fine needle aspiration cytology to find out the cause.
