Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am living with a marihuana addict.....six years now and had non idea of the situation when our relationship first began. I suffered a hemmhorragic stroke two years ago which ,with an enormous amount of work, am trying to recover from. He ,in turn, has since stopped working and is now having his first joint upon waking and smokes one every hour until midnight. It seems so sad that whilst I am trying to repair my cognitive function,he in turn is hellbent on destroying his. He is a very intelligent man and seems to always find a logical way of making this seem all my problem.
In my opinion living with such a person will just tax your strength and drain you out. I wonder if you have considered parting ways and trying to bounce back on your own without any negativity around you. Support from family and friends should see you through.
Best wishes.
