How To Get Rid Of My Pimples And The Dark Spot Left By Them?

hello
For the past 6 months i have been suffering from pimples. they dont pop out in many but one at a time like if one appears then after 15-20 days another pops up. i do each and every measure to take care of my skin but it does nothing. now when i get a pimple it turns red after 2-3 days and and then leaves a dark spot which takes months to fade.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

If I was the treating doctor I would suggest that you use a gel based sunscreen, that which offers both UV A and UV B protection, throughout the day.

Once daily azaleic acid cream can be used at night, at the start of therapy along with topical clindamycin gel over active acne during the day. Azaleic acid works for both acne and pigmentation.

Other skin lightening ingredients that are effective for post acne hyperpigmentation are kojic acid, glycolic acid, hydroquinone etc

I would advice that you see a dermatologist. Your dermatologist might also choose to prescribe an oral antibiotic e.g either doxycycline or Azithromycin for 4-12 weeks

I would suggest that you see a dermatologist for a prescription of these.

regards
