Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a partial hysterectomy and mt gall bladder removed in May, 2015. I was told that I would be going to the restroon quite frequently. That has been true. I went to the restroom earlier. Around 15 minutes later I got in bed. I felt something very warm in my underwear after I had laid down. There were some wet spots in my underwear. I smelled a little odor. What could it have been and what do I do about it. also can I do about my frequent trip to the bathroom for only a few drops. Also what can I do about my underarm odor since I had surgery. Please help.
The frequent rest room visit can be part of underlying cystitis (inflammation of urinary bladder with wall thickening), urinary infection or others. However, as the ovary is preserved (due to partial hysterectomy), the cause of odor under arm needs separate evaluation through physical examination.
My guidelines at present: - Drink more liquids in sessions (as low hydration will raise the threat of worsening of urinary infection) - Get a urine culture report done in the lab for antibiotic susceptibility - Discuss the need of an ultrasound of the abdomen & pelvis with your treating doctor
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
