How To Get Rid Of Psoriasis Marks?

I have psoriasis marks all down my right leg, it is so EMBARRESSING to wear dresses, shorts, skirts and even capris pants. My first signs of them was this year February starting as small pink bumps on my leg then more red spots came all down my left leg and soon the worse thing happen they became soo ichy and when I iched them it got soo terrible that all the pink bumps changed into a dark, blackish, ashy looking skin look it was terrible, it even felt bumpy and all down my left leg and felt painful, mind you all of this happened in one month and by april it all healed and the blackness went away but I still had the marks. they look as if i have some type of pigmentation issue. the marks are wayy darker than my skin color but from the way they looked back in February till now, December, they are getting lighter . But I wanted to know will cocoa butter help get the psoriasis marks lighter faster and get my skin to be toned if I pass it two times a day on the infected areas, day and night. In 2014 February will make it a year since I had this.

Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation seems to the problem here. I would suggest that you use a moisturizing cream twice daily over the whole affected area (Cocoa butter would be fine). You could also use a moderately potent topical steroid e.g fluticasone propionate cream twice daily, just over the hyperpigmented marks/patches, over and above the moisturizer.

regards
