How To Get Rid Of Pus Cells In Urine?

HI Doctor, My father is suffering from frequent urination with frequency of every 5 minutes. When we took urine culture test we found there are plenty of pus cells. Immediately we went to our family doctor and currently treatment is going on. Its been 5 days and still frequent urination is there. Even we took Kidneys and liver testing to ensure everything is fine. Could you please tell me how many days this infection will be there and how can i proceed to go away from these pus cells.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
I appreciate your concern for your father.
First of all fever, burning urination, increased frequency are the symptoms of Urinary tract Infection. My advice is first you conduct Blood sugar, 2 hours post prandial blood sugar and urine sugar, HbA1c test. Your father may be having diabetes. Secondly consult the surgeon and examine his prostate gland. Sometimes frequent urination and infection are may be due to enlarged prostate.
Ideally if Everything is fine, after complete course of antibiotic this should subside. But it is not, so you need to find out other causes for that.
