red around the outline of lips,chap like then peel, they pulse sting then it starts all over. I dont have herpes symplex. Ive tried the apple cider vinegar and other home remedies. nothing seems to make it go away. Ive read other blogs with the same symptoms no one seems to have the answer. they have been to reg md ,dermatologist, have taken antibiotics,fungal meds. it last forever and ever. dont know how it came about and dont know how to get rid of it.

Hello, it coud be lip licker’s dermatitis. you may r may not lick the lips, but it is due to that redness or erythema around the lips, it is common in lip lickers and hence the term. Treatment consists of topical and oral antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs. A mild soap should be used for washing. Scrubbing should be avoided. If the symptoms are not controlled by topical antibiotics, then oral antibiotics may be needed.u could use spf lip balm,, Please consult your dermatologist and discuss this with him. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
