How To Get Rid Of Sores In Mouth And Tongue?

What can I do for sores in my mouth/tongue that I have had for years? Drs can not seem to find a solution and I am going a little crazy, w/pain in my head and jaw. I hope you can understand what I am saying, oh, I have FMS/CFS and all the fun things that come w/them. Believe it or not, I have a lot of optimism and joy in my heart, I don t get down in the mouth, at least my caregiver says I don t, we try to have fun and that helps. I am not a big talker, but on paper, I am, sorry. Thank you, Marsha

Hi..
Can understand your concern..

As per your complain sores in the mouth and on the tongue can be due to either viral infection known as Cold Sores caused by herpes simplex virus or it can be due to Canker sores/Apthous ulcers.

Apthous ulcers however can have multiple causes to appear and at times there are no considerable cause for it and there is no sure shot reason found for the occurrence of sores.

I would suggest you to consult an ORAL PATHOLOGIST and get evaluated and get the necessary laboratory investigations done to rule out the cause of the sores and treatment can be planned accordingly..
