How To Get Rid Off Pimples And Dark Spots?

hi doctor. I have been getting pimples lately. It leaves a dark spot and I am not able to get rid off them. I know it will eventually go away, but I have my brother’s wedding coming in few weeks and I am kind of paranoid about the dark spots.. any suggestions pls. Thanks

Your main concern is Post-inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH) which is a common complication of inflammatory acne
If I was the treating doctor I would suggested you to use either a demelanizing cream containing one or more of the following ingredients like Azaleic acid, Kojic acid, hydroquinone, arbutin etc
You may also opt for a few sessions of chemical peeling from your dermatologist e.g glycolic peeling is specially useful for PIH and together with topical treatment would hasten the resolution.
I would suggest that you visit a dermatologist in your region. Your dermatologist will be able to assess your concern properly and and advice accordingly.
