Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been ordered to take urine test by a county court system. I go and they say my sample is diluted. First time a count of 14 was to low for them and this time a 19 was below the 20 count they are looking for to test my samples. What can I do to get this 20 and above count?
In order to get a concentrated urine sample for testing ,you should try to restrict your fluid intakes 1-2 hours before bedtime the night before you plan to take the test. The next morning the first urine passed by you should be collected. A mid stream sample ,that means allow some initial urine to escape before collecting the sample and while collecting the urine sample , ensure that the collecting bottle does not touch your body because touching will increase the chances of contamination of the sample .
