How To Handle A Uterine Fibroid During Pregnancy Without Harming The Fetus?

I am 21 weeks pregnant with a 6cm fibroid placed directly underneath my placenta. The placenta is currently larger than the fibroid. Baby s weight is 1lb 1oz and is healthy. My question is...what exactly are my chances of losing the baby? If I have an abruption can the baby be saved? And is there anything I can be doing to prevent this from happening?

hi,in case of fibroids in pregnancy its quite common to see a placenta getting implanted on the fibroid.such big fibroids increases chances of complications especially preterm delivery, ceserean section etc but abruption is less likely.you should take adequate rest, avoid heavy weights, continue with folic acid supplementation.mo0st of the women with fibroid in pregnancy have favourable outcome so don't worry but just take adequate precautions.all the best.
